Previous Charity Auctions

In the life of an auction house, the most effective form of social responsibility is organizing charity auctions. In the past two decades, the Nagyházi Gallery has held several successful charity auctions whose proceeds have provided assistance to those in need. These auctions were initiated and contributed to by notable public figures such as former presidents Árpád Göncz, László Sólyom, and János Áder, flutist Eszter Horgas, and medical professor Lóránd Fráter from Szeged. Our successful charity auctions include, without intending to be exhaustive:

  • 2000-2001 Charity auction initiated by Árpád Göncz for the benefit of the Kézenfogva Foundation supporting people with disabilities
  • 2000 Charity auction to support the construction of the Timișoara Reformed Center
  • 2004 Charity auction for the benefit of cancer-affected children under the care of Bethesda Children's Hospital
  • 2005 Charity auction, organized together with the National Museum and Kossuth Radio, for the benefit of flood victims
  • 2005 Charity auction for the benefit of the Dévai Saint Francis Foundation, which helps orphans and underprivileged children
  • 2011-2012 Charity auction of ceramics from the Zsolnay building for the benefit of the Museum of Applied Arts
  • 2011 Charity auction organized from the presidential gifts of former president of the republic, László Sólyom for the benefit of the Rehabilitation Spiritual Home for Childhood Cancer Patients in Bakonyszucs
  • 2013 Charity auction for the benefit of the Pro Libertate Foundation
  • 2015 Contribution from flutist Eszter Horgas from the legacy of composer and pianist György Vukán to support young musical talents
  • 2021 Charity auction from the legacy of medical professor Lóránd Fráter for the benefit of the Dr. Fráter Lóránd – For Medicine and Art Foundation
  • 2022 Charity auction for the benefit of the Heim Pál National Pediatric Institute
  • 2022 Charity auction for the benefit of Covid orphans supported by the Regőczi Foundation I-II.
