Nagyházi Art Foundation
As a revitalizer of the domestic art market, Csaba Nagyházi has carried out diverse cultural and artistic activities over the past decades. Alongside his guiding role in the domestic art market, he worked on developing the cultural organizational frameworks of civil society.
As a founding and leading member of cultural and artistic associations and foundations, he assisted in the development of domestic art education and professional training. As a member of the Committee for Cultural Assets, he contributed to the work of protecting Hungary’s cultural heritage, caring for private collections and artistic legacies. He organized and supported exhibitions, and through numerous charity auctions, aided the education of Hungarians beyond the borders, as well as the cultural activities of domestic museums and childcare institutions. He advocated for the professional processing of the history of Hungarian art collecting and initiated and supported research into family historical traditions and the processing of collections.
In his later years, he achieved success in caring for and restoring built heritage, as well as developing the cultural life of disadvantaged micro-regions. Unfortunately, he could not experience the international recognition of his work (Europa Nostra Award 2013) due to his passing in 2012.
This fact also motivated us to establish our foundation. With our activities, we primarily seek to promote the common good, the benefit of society as a whole, the preservation of its spiritual and cultural heritage, and the transmission of values.
